Committee's clout.
First; we help you identify the issues that will motivate your membership.
These are issues that most of your membership feel must be addressed
and are not divisive within the organization. Economic issues
are the most common issues, but often the issues that raise the most amount
of passion are issues such as scope of practice and sometimes a social issue.
Second;
we help you build a campaign that will get the membership invested in
the political process. While it is important to have the
members giving money to the PAC, you also want to be able to motivate
them to work for and vote for candidates who support your issues.
Third:
we contact your membership. An integrated campaign, of mail,
telephone, fax and E-mail is built. We work with you to design the
mailings, faxes and e-mail. The telephone campaign is designed to
motivate the membership to act upon the written communications they
have received from you. Most mail or similar campaigns will only get
a 3% to 8% response rate, in order to achieve 25% or higher the membership
must get the proactive call.
Fourth;
we constantly review the results of the campaign with you. Each
aspect of the campaign is reviewed for its effectiveness. Telephone
feedback is constantly reviewed. For example; we may have the right
issues, but the candidates that support those issues may have baggage
that is unacceptable to your members. Or we may find that an issue
that seemed to have broad appeal was actually an important issue for
a minority of the members and that other issues have a much broader
appeal.
Fifth;
we try to get the members politically active. As an example; we would
contact the membership and ask them for support for a candidate
running in their state or district. The feedback here can be
invaluable. You will learn how the candidate is perceived
by those closest to him and whether it really is worth investing in
his or her candidacy.
It is
the constant communication that gets great PACs going. It must be two
way and up to date.
